I found this product easy to use but the sound quality was very disapointing. The bass and treble are very distorted beyound mid volume. So this speaker dosn’t fit my needs.

We purchased this to have music on our back patio. Both transmitter and receiver are using AC power as we have a plug on our patio. We don’t have parties or play the unit loudly but for our purposes it’s great. The bass was much better than I expected. I have tried using Pandora from my computer using the headphone jack and we have some momentary cut-outs. I’m sure these are distance related since the computer is in a front room and the patio is out back…the range sweet spot for us is about 50′ through inside walls/doors. If I use an MP3 player placed a bit closer it works great with no drop outs. We do have other wireless devices such as 5.8 mhz phones, 900 mhz camera and wireless internet…none of which seem to interfere.

Bought 2 of these recently. Speakers are plenty loud, sounds good, no problem with playing off an I-pod. However, there is a problem with plugging into my headphone jack on my laptop. Sound is fine, however every once in awhile the speakers cut out very loudly. All components are plugged in(no batteries) and the speakers are only 5-6 feet from the source signal in the same room. So obviously, it is not a signal strength problem. Has anyone else experienced this? I tried calling Tiger Direct(seller), they referred me to Cables unlimited #, however when called, they had an automated message saying they do not provide support for Tiger direct customers. Seems like the run around. Unless I figure out what the problem is I will be returning this. I even tried switching out the transmitter, same problem. The sound cuts out every 5 minutes or so.

I bought this unit new about two months ago. I put the batteries in the speaker to use outside while working in the yard. When I tried to open up the battery compartment again the one screw would not open/come out. I called Audio Unlimited and they said I had to send an e-mail to their customer service, so I sent the required e-mail to their customer service explaining the problem 2 times and still two months later have not received any reply, so don’t count on Audio Unlimited to help you with a problem. I was able to extract the screw myself without damaging the unit and just left that screw out. The mono sound isn’t bad but the range is not as good as claimed. At first I had the transmitter in my basement hooked up to my computer and the speaker(receiver) didn’t work at all about 30′ away. Then I hooked my iPod touch to the transmitter and put it on my kitchen counter inside my wood frame house, the speaker was very intermittent even 10′ away on my deck. When I moved the transmitter out onto the deck it worked better but still cut out at times. Hopefully if you buy this unit you don’t have any technical problems and that your units range is better than mine. Also the speaker is wireless but the transmitter needs to be plugged in. Good luck!

It is good product, I love to place my IPHONE and heard my own music where ever I move in and out my home. I haven’t prove it with batteries, just with regular power but I will put batteries and grab it to the beach or a park to see what happen.

my daughter and I fight to play our IPHONE almost all the time.
